After I began to shave my head bald regularly, I still wore a baseball cap to work because I was a bit afraid of what people would say. I would wear one before to hide my shaggy hair.

Right, it also demonstrates that other people take our hairstyle much lass seriously that all of us do. Especially these days when a shaved head is so mainstream that it's just another haircut!
