I was fine going out in public.  Like so many, with family they want an explanation, but strangers just give you the reactions.  They either like it or don't.  Although I tend to pay more attention to what the ladies have to say...   O:O

Never embarrassed.  I still love going out with a freshly shaved scalp, nice and shiney.  I can still see people looking and have had people comment.
