Should I, or no
« on: May 31, 2010, 08:02:38 AM »
So my senior ball is this upcoming weekend, and I was wondering if I should bic my head, and shave it totally bald.  I went with a clipper shave a week ago, so it is about a #1 all over length now.  Should I ask my date first what she thinks?  Or just go for it and show up bald?

I think the confidance to shave it clean without asking your date will benefit you more in your attractive factor then the difference between the buzz and the sly. Plus if you go sly, your going to be a better pleasure to touch if she wants to rub your head, versus the scratchy buzz.

I knew a guy who went sly for prom... it was a very sharp look!

Shave it now and see how you like it.  If you don't like it, there's still time to grow it back to where it is now before the weekend.

It seems to me that you have the itch, and that itch wants to be scratched.  It's your head and your life--you have to do what is right for you.  Unless your date has asked you about her hair style, dress, etc., she has no right to give you a thumbs up or down, nor should she want to.  This is your party too, and if you think it will be more satisfying or just more plain fun, shave it.  If it would make you uncomfortable, don't.  It's really that simple.

Should I ask my date first what she thinks?

To me....  that would be the respectful thing to do.

A gentleman wants the focus of attention to be on the lady at such an event.

If she's still on board after a buzz.  I would say that a shave would not be that big of a shock.  Go for it now.  Like Razor said, it will have time to grow back.

You've got a really brief window of opportunity; you really need to shave it now.  That will give you a day or two (at the most) to decide if you want to keep it or not.  If you wait any longer, then you'd better plan on being bald for the prom.

That being said, I agree with Gambrinus; it won't be a radical change as far as most people are concerned, so I doubt it will be an issue.  It's definitely a cleaner look.  Why not give it a try?
