Yeh - best of luck to you both _ I need to quit too - I've been smoking for years but really think the time has come to stop but it's really difficult. I'd be very interested to know how you get on PB on your new meds so keep us posted.

Kajun's spot on about the beer too - it's probably best kept away from whilst trying to quit the ciggies.

When ya start tomorrow paulie, try using exercise as a way to beat the desire to smoke...in the meantime praying all goes well and its a success.

worst part will be when you drinking beer ..but when you can go drinking and not smoke..you got it beat....

Or just move to one of the 16 states where smoking in bars is banned.

Yo!  Paul!

Washington is one of those states where you can't smoke in a bar (except in Indian Casinos)!  So, while I hardly drink, if you ever came up here, I'd go with you to a bar and be your designated driver while you drink and not smoke!  Anyway, I'll pray for success for you!

Good luck, I quit smoking around June 4th 1997, the first three years were difficult for me, but look at how much money iam saving, i use to smoke three packs of Lucky strikes or Camel non filters a day, and my chances of lung cancer are less now since i quit

Yeh, no competition there!

Paul, are you using the CHANTIX you mentioned & if so, is it helping? I looked it up on google - sounds quite promising!

Good luck anyway.

it was a bit pricey to buy because insurance won't pay for it. but it should pay for itself after only a few weeks of not smoking.
